Lucan Sarsfields GAA for All Team Report 2025

GAA for All continued to grow in popularity this year.  Inclusion remains at the heart of everything we do, and our GAA for All team continues to shine as a fantastic example of that spirit. GAA for All provides players of all abilities with the opportunity to enjoy Gaelic Games in a fun, supportive, and welcoming environment. Throughout the year, the team took part in training sessions and social events — all promoting friendship, participation, and confidence both on and off the pitch for coaches and the children. The group has now been split over 2 training slots to best suit the needs of the children.  Once again this year, we have a fantastic group of enthusiastic teenage volunteers who contribute so much to the success of the sessions.  Our Tuesday group has now moved indoors for the winter months and we are indebted to Scoil Mhuire principal, John Egan, for the use of the school hall again this year. The highlight of our year was the visit from the Air and Sea Rescue helicopter in June, also in attendance were 2 members of our community Gardai.  This was a great success and is a regular talking point at our training sessions since then.  Some of the children participated in the summer camps and we are grateful to Alan for facilitating. In October, our group was invited to participate in the launch of Whitehall Warriors, which was run in conjunction with Variety, the Children’s Charity of Ireland.  Several of the children attended and had a very enjoyable afternoon. There is another such event scheduled in O’Dwyers at the end of November. Thank you to all of the adult and teen coaches who continue to give their time and energy to deliver our sessions in an enjoyable and safe environment.
