The death has occurred of Nora O’Brien, sister of our late Chairman and councillor Billy Gogarty and wife of Dessie O’Brien former hurler and footballer for Lucan Sarsfields and mother to Sean and Des, both who played football and hurling with the club and Granny to Cara, Erris, Kelly, Michael and Kate, all members of the juvenile section. Mother in law to Niamh who is one of the main organisers of the Bingo on the Wednesday night in the club.

O’Brien (nee Gogarty) (Palmerstown Village) January 31st. 2016, (peacefully), at The Mater Hospital. Nora, beloved wife of Dessie and dear mother of Sean, Des, Mary and Ciarán. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Nikola, Niamh and Olivia, brothers-in-law Mick and Frank, sisters-in-law Patricia and Margaret, godson Paul, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Tuesday evening from 7pm until 9pm. Removal to St. Philomena’s Church, Palmerstown on Wednesdaymorning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent’s Ward, The Mater Hospital.
