Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday Dec 28th 2015
December 28, 2015
The Billy Malone Cup was used in place of the previously advertised McCormack Cup for the St Stephens Day game between our Senior Footballers and Senior Hurlers. Billed as the battle between the respective kit men, it was Alan âThe Mooseâ v Ronnie âThe Shadowâ. It was a wet day but credit to all the players that had committed to taking part, they all showed up along with a small number of spectators. The first half was hurling but it was actually the footballers that were on top 6:04 to 4:06 at half time, benefiting from the many dual players who reverted to the hurling team for the football half. The footballers did enough to finish out 4 point winners. The happy headed Moose later accepting the Billy Malone Cup from Billy Malones Son later in the club.
