LUCAN SARSFIELDS' CLUB NOTES MONDAY DEC 21st 2015

Our Christmas Draw concluded in the club on Saturday night last. Top prize of â¬2,000 was sold by Joe Whyte and went to James Twomey, second prize of â¬1,000 won by Negley Groom and third prize also of â¬1,000 went to Richard Dillon. The McCormack Cup, previously used with Junior Footballers, is the prize on offer for a new Stephens Day contest between our senior footballers and hurlers. Billed as the battle between the respective kit men, Alan âThe Mooseâ v Ronnie âThe Shadowâ, the half hurling half football game kicks off 2pm on Saturday on the All Weather pitch at the club. This will be followed by food, music and lots of craic.
The Juvenile Awards continue with several happening over the weekend. The U14 ladies football were on Thursday night with Sarah Robinson player of the year, and Emma Fallon getting the players own award. U14 hurlingâs most improved player was Daragh Reid, Joythin Joseph player of the year and Matthew Dunne the players choice.
The last few tables are on offer for âLucan Sarsfields Leopardstown Leapsâ. This event is on Sunday January 17th. A four course dinner followed by a superb day of national hunt racing. For further details contact Eoin on 0862734114. This is an ideal corporate gift!
Our condolences to the Rigney and Flemming families on the death of Niall Flemming. Niall was a loyal supporter of the club and was well known to the U16 hurlers with whom his grandson Conor plays.
There was no winner of this weekâs â¬10,000 Lotto draw, numbers were 5, 8, 14 and 22. Lotto sponsor was Colaiste Laichtin. Next weekâs jackpot is â¬10,500, and the draw will be managed by team Shay Hurson on Monday night.

A huge thanks to all who contributed to our Christmas draw, Go raibh maith agaibh. 2015 was a year of over 2000 games for our club team's, Kube fundraisers, club players representing our club with Dublin in all codes , League and Championship wins, promotions , close calls, Christmas Draw, Sam Maguire, Family Fun Days, charitable donations, community events plus many other events that lead to a rich club life. Here's to 2016 providing even more of the sameâ
