LUCAN SARSFIELDS' CLUB NOTES MONDAY DEC 14th 2015
December 13, 2015
A big day on Saturday last for all our Academy Players. Christmas party time. Santa was in situ with a gift for all. This was followed by a magic show. The atmosphere was fantastic, and with over 180 players to be catered for, a logistical challenge, very well handled by the team.
Camogie Minor B were the last team in competitive action for this year, their Championship Final was in Parnells, Coolock on Sunday last. Unfortunately, despite a huge effort, Skerries got the better of them. Lucan girls did really well to get there against many A sides.
Dubs Stars awards were presented in the Green Isle Hotel on Thursday night last. The Senior Football Management Team attended to pick up player awards and also to receive the âMetro Team Of The Monthâ award for November. Unsurprisingly, Ballyboden got the December award.
The Juvenile Awards continue with many awards nights happening over the last week. Donal Colfer and his team of mentors seemed to have over 50 U10 Camogie players to marshall. The Minor Hurlers also had their awards night on Saturday night, chicken curry, speeches and awards seems to be their formula.
All SDCC pitches will remain closed until 16th January 2016. Our own grounds are in good shape, and thanks to Jack OâNeill and a borrowed teleporter from Cavan Developments so too are our lights and gutters.
The last few days to get hold of Christmas Draw tickets, these are available from any club mentor or at the club.
âLucan Sarsfields Leopardstown Leapsâ is on Sunday January 17th. A four course dinner followed by a superb day of national hunt racing will set the scene for a great dayâs fun. For further details contact Eoin on 0862734114. This is an ideal corporate gift!
