After winning our 1st championship match away to Robert Emmets, our second match
was at home last monday evening to Scoil Ui Chonaill. This was going to be a challenging
affair as the opposition had beaten us well in the league. We had 22 players for this one which
proved to be a positive outcome.
The first half was very evenly contested with Lucan having the edge by 2-6 - 1-6.
The second half Lucan upped their game with some wonderful points taken by Danni Murray,
Katie Wisdom, Emma Flynn & Catherine Sexton, it was Lucan all the way. Overall it
was a great team performance and every player got to play. Final score was Lucan Sarsfields 4-16 -
Scoil Ui Chonaill 1-09. Last match in the group is away to Skerries next monday 14th.
