Meanwhile, just a long puck-out down the road in the Park, Lucan B senior camogie team had a huge win over Portobello.

Rachael Kenny has settled in well as an uncompromising full-back while Rachel Leonard gave a master-class spraying passes around the middle. That’s where the 1-19 came from.Sam Fitzgerald, Noelle O’Riordan and Orlaith Murphy were in control throughout.

Louise Beirne made an excellent comeback on a good night for a young Lucan team.
