U11 Camogie vs Boden
June 01, 2015
Sunday morning and the sun had made another appearance to the pleasure of the families who turned out for the first league meeting of Lucan Sarsfields away to Ballyboden. It is a real pleasure to see such a great team assembled and the supporters were glad they turned out to a thrilling encounter.
Six Games lay ahead of us
Robbies Team
This team was up for a good days work today with a nice mix of experienced players and some new additions to the Sarsfields family. Previous meetings had shown that these teams were well matched with Sarsfields coming away with the stronger margin.
We were provided with some key displays across the line by Tara, Lily, Leah, Sara Browne and Aoibheann to keep the sliotar moving in the right direction and provide some key supply to the forwards. We had some great scores come in from Reah Canning and Kate O'Connell. We have some great talent coming through the team now with Aev, Rachel Bracken and Saidbh Corcoran all showing their potential and strength.
a win and two draws for this team and we had the edge and had some fun.
Kevin's Team.
We had a few changes to the team with the busy May. With a nice mix of new and old team members this would prove to be an interesting display of team work, everybody had to play their part to stem the opposition home advantage.
Upfront Saidbh Fitzpatrick, Erica Collins, Aideen Somers, Sara Mahon and the tireless Hanna Nolan, this was a very hungry forward line all wanting to prove that they were going to serve the team and they never stopped pressuring the defence and chase every ball.
Midfield and defence rotated like clockwork to provide the attack, supply and total defence that stopped the Boden train in its tracks. Skills galore, but most of all these players worked together. This is Go-Games and we are very excited to see players like Cara Ware, Cliona NiBhuachalla, Sinead Daly, Sophie McIntyre and the tireless AnnaRose Kenny represent their club in a thrilling game of Camogie.
Three wins and we might have had some more fun!
