Community Games 2015 U12 LF

We travelled to Skerries for the Semi Final and played some really nice football. It is fair to say it was a really good team performance the girls have shown and every player was in on the action. A real team display.

It was an atrocious evening with wind and sheeting rain driving at us. It didn’t deter the girls who stuck to their task and an emphatic victory took us to the Dublin Final against Clontarf GAA.

We travelled to Clontarf with our tails up but came up against some very strong opposition.

Whether the occasion got to the girls or the fact that Clontarf were an extremely good team we didn’t really perform to our best capability on the night. The game started to get away from us early and we never really recovered.

That said it was a great experience for our girls and will surely stand to them in the future. Sometimes you have to lose a final to see what it really means. A hard lesson but a valuable one.

Well done to all of the Under 12 girls and their parents for supporting them in their sporting endeavors.

We have plenty to work on as a group and its onwards and upwards from here.

The under 12 Mentors Peter, Paddy John and Stiofn are very proud of all of the girls who played and made it to the Dublin final of the Community Games 2015.
