I just wanted to thank the club membership so much for the warm support we received on what was a very cold wet and in the end disappointing day for our squad.

When you know on the side-line that things are slipping and not going your way, having the Lucan Sarsfields support albeit dripping wet with various forms of waterproof dress from golf shoes, wellies to plastic bags is a fantastic feeling and one of the highlights of the event and one we won’t forget.  When the final whistle was blown we received the coldest, wettest and warmest handshakes and the kindest, wisest words and that’s when you know how fantastic our club membership is and how lucky we are to be part of this family.

The level of work and commitment our squad have put in over the last couple of months is phenomenal and while we didn’t win the top prize anyone that follows our team will know how special this squad is and will also know that this the beginning of a very exciting new phase for them. One thing Feile has taught us is that winning or losing this event will not determine our teams future success but knowing that 2000 members have our back will, this was so important to our squad last Saturday and you all delivered.

So on behalf of the management team, Mick Kelly, Dermot English, Ronan Keher, Jeremy Minihane and myself thank you!!
