U11 Hurling Report

It was Friday night under the lights in Round Towers Clondalkin for Sars U11 hurlers first couple of games on Saturday 21^st and what a prelude to the weekend’s sporting action it was.  The interplay and determination of the boys would not have gone a miss on Sunday in Parnell Park, such was the scoring, defending and all round play that ensure that Sars picked up both victories against a plucky Towers line up.  It was obvious from the throw in that Sars had brought their “A” game for the short trip as both Sars sides hit the ground running taking some excellent scores on the run and from place balls.  All in all, a perfect start to the weekend.

Saturday say two further games for our U11 hurlers in what was a beautiful morning for hurling.  The U11 did not disappoint the parents and team mates that played on Friday night.  It is great to see such team spirit. The opposition was Thomas Davis and the hurling produced by the lads certainly matched the sunshine on Saturday, as all who watched were sent home in good spirits after witnessing a fine offensive spell involving some excellent scores generated by a very mean and spirited defence.  Both teams played as a tight unit on both ends of the pitch producing an excellent ending to four great games over both days.
