Match Report for U-13 Teams on 07/03/2015

After a false start the previous week, the U-13Bs were all set for action on Saturday afternoon to kick off their season. This was a great occasion for the girls, as it was the first time the club has fielded two teams at the same age group in competitive juvenile ladies football. It was always going to be a tough task for thems as they faced Star of Erin’s first team. A nervy first half saw the girls concede a number of early scores to trail at half time. However, you could see the confidence and team work growing from early in the second half. Lady luck was not on their side though, and on another day the scoreboard would have been alot healthier in Lucan’s favour, as they lost in the end by 5 points. Well done to the U-13As who won against Ballydboden SE in a windswept Ballycullen Park. Despite very difficult conditions for football, the girls stuck to their task and recorded their second win of the season.
