Seasons greetings to you all as our 2014 GAA Season draws to a close.

The last week provided some great examples of what this club does and can do in the future  - On Saturday I had the pleasure of attending our Annual LDCU Academy Christmas Party, where close to 200 boys and girls attended. The event organised by Lisa, Johnny and all the LDCU Academy coaches was a fine end of 2014 celebration for those kids starting out on the journey with our club. 

While over the same week,  we witnessed players reach the pinnacle of their underage careers for the club , with our Minor Camogie and U21 Hurlers winning their respective A Championships. 

The work put into these groups of players started at the Nursery/Academy , right through U8 to U16 in the Juvenile section and Minor etc in the Adult section. I challenge anyone to calculate the hours of coaching and dedication put in by the multitude of coaches that have worked with these players over those years - A huge thanks to all of you and congratulations to the teams involved.

Our annual Volunteers night will be held in January , as a small token of our appreciation to all that have contributed in 2014.

Over the year we have strengthened our links with local business and forged some new links via the partnership programs - please endeavour to support them over the Christmas period and through 2015.

      

Success , measured in wins or numbers playing and participating in all aspects of club life in 2015 will be greatly helped by a successful Christmas Raffle. Every effort made in this last week of sales , will help us to provide the required support in 2015 to our Academy and Juvenile teams, to Minor/U21 through to our Adult teams.
