Social
One of our Junior Hurlers, Tiarnan Swords, is taking part in a charity football match this Saturday 15th of June 2024 in aid of Féileacáin. Féileacáin was formed by a group of bereaved parents to offer support to anyone affected by the death of a baby around the time of birth, and the organisation is now the national charity supporting families affected by perinatal loss. We would like to wish Tiarnán the best of luck as he has been chosen to captain one of the teams. If anyone would like to contribute towards this great cause, please click the following link. https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/FeileacainFathers2024

Healthy Club
Our healthy club committee are facilitating another safeTALK (Suicide Alertness for Everyone), on Saturday 22nd June. Please see the link below to register. We would encourage all mentors and parents to participate in this very important workshop. Any questions please contact Audrey @ 087 2312560.

Participants learn how to provide practical help by using the steps of TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep safe) and gain information on the supports and resources available locally, regionally and nationally. These specific skills are called suicide alertness and are taught with the expectation that the persons learning them will use them to help reduce suicide risk in their community.

Cumann na mBunscol
We had huge excitement this week as several local schools competed in the Cumann na mBunscol finals in Croke Park. It was a great opportunity for our players who all put on a fine display of camogie and hurling, proudly representing their schools and club.
Congratulations to the girls and boys in Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada who both one their finals. This was the cherry on top for the GSER who also won their football final before Christmas. Pictured below both teams with their medals!
Both the boys and girls in Scoil Áine Naofa also competed in CMNB finals in Croke Park. Congratulations to the girls who came out on top in their match but unfortunately, it was not to be for the lads who missed out, hard luck lads. Congratulations to our two adult players Sinead O’Keefe and Anna Breen who managed the teams. See team pictures below.
Hard luck to Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig who were defeated in their final and best of luck to the team going forward. Not pictured.
