Juvenile  

There was plenty of action this week for our juvenile teams. Pictured below our U9, U14 and U15 camogie teams over the weekend. 

St Patricks Day 

We had a very successful St Patricks Day this year with many of our juvenile players representing the club in the Lucan parade. This was followed by an enjoyable evening back at the clubhouse with children's entertainment, live music and pub food. Some pictures from the parade can be seen below. 

We also had three representatives at the Madrid Harps St Patricks Day family outing. Pictured below Jamie Lavin, Daire Shanahan and Ciaran McHugh.  

Academy 

Our Academy is on every Saturday morning from 9-11am and provides a great opportunity to get involved in Gaelic, Hurling and Camogie. It is open to children born in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Training times are age dependent, please contact our club Games Promotion Officer, Alan O’Neill - 0871213587  

 
Easter Camp 

Our Easter camp will take place next week from the 25th – 28th of March from 10am – 2pm daily. All children, both members and non-members, are welcome. Hurls and helmets can be provided if needed Registration is open and spaces are limited so make sure to sign up via ClubZap or the link below.

County 

Congratulations to Rian Doherty, Senan Bolger, Cian Gavin and Killian Costello on being selected for the 2024 Dublin Minor Football Championship squad. Best of luck to the lad in the upcoming Leinster campaign. 

Well done to Jack Mills (2:01) and Bill Donovan who represented the Dublin U16 Hurling team in their win against Clare! Pictured below. 

Well done to Caoimhe Buckley who represent the Dublin U14 Ladies footballers in matches against Kildare and Meath. 

Social 

Our Annual Golf Classic will take place on the 21st of June 2024 in Lucan Golf Club. The cost of a four-person team is €450. This event books up quickly and we had an unprecedented demand for tee times last year so make sure to register early. Invitations are also open for sponsorship opportunities for both companies and personal support. The Cúpla Focal Club started on Monday the 15th of January from 8-9pm and will continue every Monday. This is a great opportunity to learn Irish. All welcome.  

The club has recently introduced Honorary Life Membership. Club Members over the age of 70, who have been members of the club for at least 20 years, can be nominated for approval by the Executive for this Membership of the club. Such nominations can be made by any full member of the club by emailing lucan.sarsfields.registrar@gmail.com  

White Collar Boxing 

Due to unprecedented demand, we are once again taking over the big top on the 4th of May 2024 for another White-Collar Boxing Showdown. 

For this event to be a success we need our members to get involved. If you are interested in stepping into the ring and joining our lineup, please contact Michaela Caseley – 086 850 8553

The launch night for this event is Friday the 22nd of March in the club bar. Come up and meet the boxers! 

Lotto 

We had no winner of last week’s lotto jackpot of €1,400. 

The Numbers were 1, 3, 16, 17 

The lucky dip prizes go to Maaike Quinn, Therez Quinn, Colm Farrell, Catherine Dardis & Martin Mockler 

This week’s Lotto will be for a jackpot of €1,800. The draw is sponsored by O’Gradys Hearing Care Services and will be led Edel Mooney.
