Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club Notes
March 07, 2022
DON DARDIS RIP (by Mick Molloy)
Don was one of the greatest members of Lucan Sarsfields, he certainly was the longest. Dons days at Lucan go back to the 1940’s when he started the Juvenile Section.
My first memories of him when I played Juvenile in the 1950’s as a mentor he would cycle with us to away games in Tallaght, Clondalkin etc. He held almost all major positions in the club as well as a Board Delegate where he was very well respected. Don had a great love of all things Irish including Traditional Irish Music and Dance. Don worked most of his working life in Clondalkin Paper Mills where he met his wonderful wife Catherine.
A great friend and colleague sadly missed by all.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Juvenile Section / Coiste na nÓg:
Remember the times when you saw your own name in the newsletter or online in lights, you mom or dad probably has them stored away as news clippings. Our News team in Lucan is looking forward to retain this important part of a family’s memories and our own club history. We are here to acknowledge all the hard work of our Mentors and Teams through the Club News this year and ask that a Mentor or parent support the capture of News/team-sheets/person of the match and continue our legacy (maybe even a cupla focal as gaelige)
