Congratulations to Cathal Kennedy and Daragh Lyons and all the Dublin u16s who won the Celtic Challenge Cup(Corn Jerome O Leary) in the final on Tuesday, beating Clare 3.19 to 2.21.
Best of luck to Emmet O’Conghaile and the Dublin Senior Football team in the Leinster Final this Sunday at Croke Park. And also to Jamie Smith, Finn Bruton, David Mulqueen and Zach Delmar, all on the minor squad to face Meath on bank holiday Monday at O’Connor Park, Tullamore. (pictured following Dublins semi-final win over Kildare last week)
Commiserations to all our county players on the wrong side of the last weeks results; Senior Camogie - Emma Flanagan, Ali Twomey and Laura Quinn; Intermediate Camogie – Ellen Dunphy and Laura Sharkey; Minor Camogie – Cliobhna Ni Bhuchalla, Hannah Gibbs, Phoebe Shannon, Millie Reid, Sinead Daly, Sophie McIntyre and Manager John O’Connell; Minor Hurling – Jack Behan, Liam Garrigan and Rossa Daly; U20 Football – Mark Lavin, Colm Walsh and Luke Curran. Well done to the u14 and u15 girls representing the club on the county camogie development squads; Aisling Fitzpatrick, Caoimhe Costello, Mia Farrell, Shauna Rooney, Eve Bruton, Chloe O’Shea and Eva Collis.
Our under 10 camogie teams played at home to Whitehall Colmcille on a beautiful Saturday morning. The girls enjoyed three games of camogie, in which they showed how much they have improved over the past few months. Thanks to the mentor who supplied lovely ice-creams for after the matches. They went down a treat. The girls are taking a break for a few weeks but we look forward to seeing everyone again before the end of August.

Division 1 Under 14 Camogie League final
Naomh Barrog 2-7. Lucan Sarsfield’s 5-8.
On a hot sunny day Lucan Sarsfield’s arrived out to Naomh Barrog to decide who was going to be crowned Division 1 League Champions.
With both teams having won all games leading up to this final, it was always going to be a hard fought contest. Lucan got an early goal in the first minute, but a strong response from Barrog kept this game very tight and that’s how it carried on for the first half. Lucan went in at half time only 2 points ahead and it was very much all to play for.
Lucan came out battling in the second half and started to pick off their scores from the off. With the lead beginning to extend the girls really started to put on a superb display of camogie. Changes were made bringing on fresh legs and the impact was fantastic. It was to great cheers from the Lucan side line when the final whistle went. There was great support for the girls from family and friends and a very proud day for Lucan Sarsfield’s. A fantastic result for the girls.
Final Score: Naomh Barrog 2-7 to Lucan Sarsfield’s 5-8
A special Mention to Saoirse Fitzgerald (Vice Captain) who was unable to play due to an ankle injury but came along to the match to support her team mates.
