Sadly missed by sons Colm, Padraig, Aidan, Neil and Pearse, daughters Deirdre and Susan, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sister Maureen, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Navan Road arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral thereafter to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clonsilla.

Alexandr Afanascenco-Butenco, 24 years old of Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Russia, who passed on Monday the 6th of May 2019 at his family home. Alex was born in Russia on the 14th of December 1994 to his parents oksana and Alex. He attended school in Confey College and graduated from Greenwich University in London in 2017.

Alex was the brightest boy when he entered a room it would light up. His positivity, kind heart and patience was shown to all who knew him.. he loved his family with all his heart as they loved him, he was the most compassionate boy with so much kindness to give to others.

He was also awarded a bronze Medal in European championships in Judo, along with great deal of other awards. Alex was an avid entrepreneur and was inspired by Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs and Elon Musk, Mark Zukerberg and Bill gates to name but a few.

Alexandr is survived by his parents Alex and oksana, his sisters Katrina and Elizabeth, his grandmother Liubovi and late grandparents Lilia, Ivan and Pavel, Also his aunty Tanya and uncle Igor. He is also sadly missed by his circle of close friends, cousins and relatives.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jennings Funeral Home in Springdale Road, Raheny, Dublin 5. He will repose at his home in Lucan on Thursday evening and visitors are welcome between 5pm and 9pm, and then the funeral will take place in Saint Mary’s Church in Lucan Village at 10am on Friday the 10th of May, he will be laid to rest in Newlands Cross Cemetery. Flowers and donations will be accepted at the church.
