Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 21st August.

August 20, 2017

Countdown is on to the Crazy World that is the 26th of August with all eyes on the Rainman and wondering Wheres The Sun while hoping for a Sweet Time. Preparations are underway for Aslan, final push on Car Draw tickets while Junior Football prepare for a championship final and the Senior Footballers for a crucial game against Cuala. Dreaming of Dreams, what a day it could be.

We will have to stop selling Aslan Tickets as the venue is nearing capacity, so if you haven't got your ticket do so soon. Note that the club will be closed to members on Saturday 26th of August and entry will only be with a ticket for the event.

Last week there was no winner of the €9,000 lotto and the numbers were 5, 19, 22 and 27.  Don Dardis was in the house when he came with a lucky dip upping his €30 to €50. This weeks €9,400 draw will be managed by Team Edel Mooney and is sponsored by Newcastle Golf Centre. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.

Lucan Junior A’s exited the championship with this disappointing 0-14 to 1-15 loss to St Finians.

26/8 is the Junior Football Championship final, 4pm in Parnell Park.

Congratulations to Dublin Premier Junior Camogie on getting thru to an All Ireland Final. The team includes Lucan's Emma O’Flynn and is captained by Emer Keenan.
