Best of luck to all our players starting exams this week. The ability to deal with adversity and handle pressure learned on the playing field can be a great benefit in the exam hall too!
Calling on all members for a big push on selling the Car Draw tickets. Sold tickets can be returned to the club bar.
Last week there was no winner of the €4,600 lotto and the numbers were 2, 4, 19 and 21. This weeks €5,000 draw will be managed by Team Diarmuid Dawson and is sponsored by Diamond & Gem Jewellers. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
Last weekend was a quit one for games activity. The U13 Ladies football being the exception on Friday evening winning by four points over Ballyboden in a high scoring game 6:13 to 6:09.
Senior Footballers are at home to Thomas Davis on 14th June followed by an away trip to St Vincent's on the 17th June.
Senior Hurlers are next away to Kilmacud Cokes on 110th June Silver Park 18:30.
Following another championship win over Portobello, intermediate Ladies Football next championship fixture is not until 12/7 at home to Westmanstown, however back to league this week where they are at home to Croi Ro Naofa Wednesday evening at 19:30.
Adult hurling games resume this week with both Junior teams in 3rd round Championship action. Junior A's play Commercials at 12th Lock Wednesday at 7.30pm, while Junior B's travel to Islandbridge to meet Civil Service on Thursday at 7.30pm. Seniors travel to Kilmacud Crokes for a league encounter Saturday at 6.30pm.
Commiserations to our representatives on defeated Dublin hurling teams last week, Chris Crummey (Senior), and Paul Crummey and Ciaran Dowling (U21). Great for the club to have continued representation at these levels.
Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society next event is the Annual Golf Classic on Friday 16th June in Lucan Golf Club. This is a key fundraiser for the club so all support welcome. To book a tee time phone Seamus Fagan 086 8168984.
Bingo continues on Wednesday 8:00pm in the club bar. This weeks jackpot is nearing €1,600.
Club Shop opening times are Sat 10:30-12:30 Thr 7pm-8:30pm.
Lucan District Credit Union Academy. Saturday 9.30am for Camogie and Girls Football, 10am for Boys Football and Hurling, for boys and girls born in 20010, 2011 and 2012 – 12th Lock.
