Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 29th May

May 28, 2017

Thanks to all who contributed to Tuesday nights discussion on proposed football and hurling changes. Club views help inform a County Board meeting on Monday night and no doubt the outcome will be widely publicised.

Last week there was no winner of the €4,200 lotto and the numbers were 4, 7, 17 and 22. Next weeks €4,600 draw will be managed by Team Frank Masterson and is sponsored by Carey’s Newsagent. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.

Man-O-War retreated before Sundays scheduled battle with the Junior B Footballers leaving them with no game this weekend. Junior A’s Sunday morning encounter with St Vincent's ended in a draw after Vincent’s got a late late goal. Intermediate footballers had a Saturday evening 5-point win over Thomas Davis, their first win in a while. Thanks to all the volunteers who’s work ensured we had perfectly playable pitches despite Saturday’s downpour. Junior A’s are out again on Tuesday 7:15 at home to Ballymun.

Senior Footballers lost to St Judes 1:08 to 3:16. Next up is another difficult one at home against top of the table Thomas Davis on 14th June.

Intermediate Ladies Football were in championship action away to Ballinteer St Johns on Wednesday evening and came away with a fantastic 5:15 to 2:09 victory. Next up are Portobello on Wednesday evening 7:30pm on the Senior Pitch. Junior Ladies Footballers are at home to Barney Rock’s Garristown at the same time.

On the juvenile side, congratulations to U14B Ladies Football who won their league on Friday night.

Fancy a new Car? The club are having a Summer Draw with a €30,000 prize fund including the first prize of a brand new Seat Ataca. Tickets available from any player, mentor or at the bar.

Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society next event is the Annual Golf Classic on Friday 16th June in Lucan Golf Club. This is a key fundraiser for the club so all support welcome. To book a tee time phone Seamus Fagan 086 8168984.

Bingo continues on Wednesday 8:00pm in the club bar. This weeks jackpot is €1,525.
