There are some important changes proposed to minor football and hurling structures. You can help shape the clubs response to the proposed changes by attending a meeting on Tuesday evening 9pm.
Last week there was no winner of the €3,800 lotto and the numbers were 9, 13, 21 and 25. Next weeks €4,200 draw will be managed by Team Mary Flannery and will be sponsored by Lucan Village Pharmacy. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
Senior Hurling overcame Faughs on Saturday night 15 points to 12, which leaves them in a leading position in Division 2.Senior Footballers are at home on Wednesday next (24/5) at 7:30pm against St Brigids.
U16A Footballers added a shield win to their trophy collection at the weekend.
In a club communication, Chairman Ben Murphy has asked all players, mentors supporters etc to “have your say” in an South Dublin County Council survey (sdcc.ie/haveyoursay). We are asking that you vote for the proposed Multi Games Sports Wall in Lucan.
The final game of the Club’s 25 Card Drive for the 2016/2017 season took place last Friday night 19th May 2017 with an accumulator of €500 on offer. Congratulations to overall winner Tony Rigney with a total of 62 games. Greg O’Neill finished 2nd on a total of 56 games. Congratulations to Cormac Gordon who won a hamper and to the other raffle prize winners.
Many thanks to all 27 players who competed over the season for their support of this Club event – we would love to see more players joining when play resumes on 6th October 2017.
On Thursday May 18th Lucan Sarsfields Health and Wellbeing committee held their inaugural event, an Evening with Michael Fennelly. This event was a great success, with a crowd of approximately 150 packing the club bar.
Fancy a new Car? The club are having a Summer Draw with a €30,000 prize fund including the first prize of a brand new Seat Ataca.
Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society Kilcock outing results, overall Winner Stephen Murphy (17) 41pts, 2nd Overall John Boland (17) 38pts BB9, category 1 winner Seamus Fagan (13) 36pts, category 2 winner Robbie Breen (18) 38pts, category 3 winner Mark Carton (28) 30pts BB9. Congratulations to all the winners. Next up is the Annual Golf Classic on Friday 16th June in Lucan Golf Club. This is a key fundraiser for the club so all support welcome. Congratulations to Seamus & Niamh Clandillon who were awarded the Presidents Prize from Lucan Lions Club at their annual gathering on Thursday night last.
Premium Ticket Draw. Every week when there is a game or a concert in Croke Park there is a draw in the club of two Premium Tickets. €20 gets you in to every draw for the year. Contact Paul McGann on 087-2546555.
