On Thursday May 18 Lucan Sarsfields Health and Wellbeing committee held their inaugural event, an Evening with Michael Fennelly. This event was a great success, with a crowd of approximately 150 packing the club bar. An inter county hurler with Kilkenny, former team captain and All Star winner, as well as being a Health & Wellbeing ambassador for the GAA, Michael is an inspirational and engaging speaker, and he really hit all the right notes with his audience of teenage and adult players, mentors and parents.

Following the presentation, the young players had a group discussion session, while Michael offered some advice to the mentors and parents, on positive communication with players. The excellent feedback from the group discussion will help form plans for the forthcoming activities of the H&W committee.The event was sponsored by Centra Griffeen, this support is much appreciated.
