April 17, 2017
This coming weekend Lucan Sarsfields plays host to Division 1 of AIG Dublin Camogie File. Eoghan O’Shea is co-ordinator for the weekend and a big thanks to those who have volunteered to assist. As there are eight teams to be facilitated it is a significant logistical challenge. Lucan's Division 3 team are being hosted by Naomh Olaf with Lucan opening game v Naomh Bird at 10:30am.
Senior Camogie had a great Leinster League quarter final win over St Martins from Kilkenny. Their semi final is omg the 22/4 14:00 away to Rathnure.
Senior Football championship is their next game against UCD in Monastery Rd on 21/4 7pm. CCC have fixed a football championship game between Whitehall and St Mary's Saggart on Thursday night in the Club. We are looking for help with stewarding the car park, putting down flags, putting up nets and collecting the entrance fee. If anyone can spare an hour please let Greg O'Neill know.
Senior Hurling has some three points to spare in their league outing against Setanta. Next up is Championship against St Brigids in Parnell Pk 27/4 8:15.

AHL2: Lucan Sarsfields 2-19 Setanta 2-15.
Our seniors came out on top against a gritty Setanta in the third round of the league. Setanta started well but an early goal from Kevin O'Reilly set Lucan on their way. Setanta pegged Lucan back with some well taken points and drew level by half time, 1-7 to 0-10. Lucan played better in the second half with O'Reilly and P Crummey picking off some nice scores. Setanta got in for a goal to reduce the gap but a good finish from sub CJ Smith had Lucan in control again. A red card for Barry Aird and another Setanta goal made for an anxious last few minutes but Lucan held firm to claim the points and second place on the league table. Lucan scorers: K O'Reilly 1-10 (0-6f), P Crummey 0-4, C Smith 1-0, T Somers 0-2, S McClelland, A Phelan, M McCaffrey 01 each.
Well done to all the Lucan contingent involved with Dublin minors who defeated Laois in Leinster Championship. L Walsh, B Coffey and Emmet Allen all started. Rob Ward, Andy Carroll and Herkus Sviglinskas were on the extended panel. Fintan Clandillon is Bainisteoir, Cro Dooley selector, Brian Fagan maor camán, Tommy Brennan Physio and Seamas O'Cathasaigh on stats.
