Feile 2017 a huge weekend for Dublin Ladies Football takes place this weekend in 17 venues across the county with over 1500 girls taking part. Lucan Sarsfields will be traveling to Clontarf for the Division 1 Group stages, and to Garristown for the Division 7 competition. Click Here to see Feile and all this weekends Lucan Ladies Football fixtures. All support at both venues is appreciated. To facilitate any last minute sartorial issues, the club shop will be open from 8am-9am tomorrow. A new stock of shorts/socks etc arrived today.

Many thanks to all who supported the recent fundraising events, especially our Cheltenham competition winners David Dineen, Brian Brophy and Jim Mulqueen. A big round of applause to the Feile sub-committee on their initiatives to ease the burden for all teams and codes. Congratulations also, to Emma O'Brien who was chosen to represent Lucan Sarsfields in the AIG Ladies Football Feile 2017 promotion. Click HERE to go to the article on the DLGFA website.

Recent Match Results / Reports

20 March U18 Division 2 v Na Fianna B, Final Score Na Fianna B, 3-11, Lucan Sarsfields 1-12

25 March U13 Division 1 v BBSE, Final Score Ballyboden St Endas A, 5-14, Lucan Sarsfields, 3-4

25 March U15 Division 5 v St Vincents, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields, 0-09, St. Vincents 4-07

Lucan displayed some great football out of defence and through midfield, but were unable to convert into scores. Plenty of positives though, and the team will work on weaknesses and reinforcing strengths in advance of the next match.

25 March U15 Division 1 v Na Fianna A, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields 5-09, Na Fianna 6-06

26 March U13 Division 6S v St Marys, Final Score St Marys, Saggarts, 5-04, Lucan Sarsfields C 0-07

26 March U13 Division 3 v Fox/Cab, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields B, 11-18, Foxrock Cabinteely B 4-06
A comprehensive win for Lucan against a Fox/Cab side that played some nice football but were no match for the home sides firepower. Well done to Ellen Lynch on her goalkeeping debut.

26 March U14 Division 6S v St James Gaels, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields B, 8-06, St James Gaels 1-01

Lucan maintained focus in their preparation for Feile next weekend with good blend of attacking football and solid defending against a lacklustre Gaels side

26 March U14 Division 1 v Na Fianna, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields 3-05, Na Fianna A, 4-02
Bouncing the ball on the juvenile pitch was not the best tactic to take, but our girls worked really hard in what was a very tight game. Goals by Aoife Seery (2) and Ellie Wisdom kept Lucan in front for nearly all of the game. Na Fianna were strong and committed to every ball and took some good scores, including a goal in the dying seconds of the game to level and deny Lucan the win. The focus now shifts to next weekends Div 1 Feile hosted by Clontarf

27 March U18 Div 2, Clanna Gael/Fontenoy conceded the game to Lucan Sarsfields

29 March Adult Div 8 Cup v Na Gaeil Oga, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields B, 5-08, Na Gaeil Oga 1-02.

29 March Adult Div 3 Cup v Croi Ro Naofa, Final Score Croi Ro Naofa, 2-05, Lucan Sarsfields 3-14

A good start for the team under new manager Paul Quinn, congratulations.
