A meatloaf day for our adult hurling teams in the league this Sunday with 2 wins from 3.

AHL2: Lucan Sarsfields 0-20 St Pats 2-9:

Lucan seniors claimed the league points against neighbours St Pats at sunny Glenaulin. Lucan lead 0-10 to 0-5 at the break and looked comfortable but two second half goals gave Pats a lifeline. Lucan held their composure and picked off some nice points from distance to see out the game. Matt McCaffrey lead the forward line superbly and contributed 5 pts from play. Kevin O'Reilly and Aidan Roche also got their usual quota. S McClelland was prominent in a dominant half back line. Lucan Scorers: K O'Reilly 0-8 (0-4f), M McCaffrey 0-5,  A Roche 0-3, S McClelland 0-2, J Moran & J Bellew 0-1 each.

AHL4: Lucan Sarsfields 2-13 St Finians 1-15.

Late scores from Alan White (1-2) pulled the win out of fire for Lucan. Paul Rigney was the other goal scorer. Overall it was a good solid team performance with full back line of Anto Lee, Brendan McGarry and Aidan Sheehan very strong throughout.

AHL8: Round Towers (L) 4-17 Lucan Sarsfields 1-8.

The Junior B's were missing a few regulars for the long trip to Lusk but still fought hard. A Brían Mahon goal kept Lucan in contention at half time but the home side pulled away in the second half. Newcomers Cillian Boylan and Eoghan Gately did well for Lucan. Scorers: K Masterson 0-5, B Mahon 1-0, C Boylan 0-2, D Ryan 0-1.

Coming next:

Wednesday 29th: Seniors v Ballyboden in Leinster league Q'final.

Friday 31st: Hurling Quiz in bar @ 9pm

Sunday 2nd: Minor A v BBoden (A), Minor B v Good Counsel (H).
