Ladies Football Match Results / Reports for weekend of 25/26 Feb.

U11 v St Vincents - A very sucessful trip by the U11's Girls Football to St. Vincent's Parc Uinsionn on Sunday last. Whilst the weather was poor, Lucan Sarsfields were anything but. In the first league match of the season, great enthusiam and determination was shown by all. The step up to 50 minute matches was taken in their stride.  Officially of course the result was a draw, but Lucan easily came out on top in both matches.

U13B Division 3 v Naomh Olaf, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields 5-14 Naomh Olaf 4-10

U13C Division 6S v St Finians, Final Score St Finians 1-1, Lucan Sarsfields 3-10

Congratulations to all as this is the first time that Lucan have fielded a  competitive team at C level.

U14 Division 1 v BBSE, Final Score Lucan Sarsfields, 4-2, Ballyboden St Endas A, 1-10

Windy stormy and equally bad for both teams, that said, it was an exciting and engaging encounter that saw the Lucan girls ending the visitors’ 14 month unbeaten run by the narrowest of margins. Great credit to both teams for their commitment, and very well done. we look forward to the next installment with relish!

U14 Division 6S v BSJ, Final Score Ballinteer St Johns B, 2-3, Lucan Sarsfields B, 8-7

1st league game of the season away to BSJ on a wild Storm Ewan afternoon. LS played with the wind in the 1st half and got some nice points but showed great determination against the wind in the 2nd half and got some great team goals. Well done to BSJ on a sporting game.

U15 Division 1 v St Finians, Final Score St Finians 2-5, Lucan Sarsfields, 5-5,

Hard fought game in terrible conditions Lucan led by a point at half time .In the second half Lucan pulled away with some fine scores winning by 3 goals at full time. A good start to our league campaign
