Senior Football season is underway with the Lucan loosing out to St Jude’s in the season opening St Vincent De Paul Cup competition, intermediate football also loosing to Kilmacud in the Joy Cup, Junior A’s did get the better of St Brendans in the Stacy Cup as did the Junior B’s in an O’Broin Cup with a win over Erin Go Bragh.

April 1st is the date for a club dinner dance. Tickets will be available later this week.

Minor B hurling opened their league with a win over St Patricks while Senior Hurling have their Boland Cup opener against St Brigids tonight away in Russel Park at 8:15pm.

In Camogie Lucan were well represented in the Senior Dublin team with Emma Flanagan, Mairi Moynihan and Ali Twomey included in the team that lost out to Cork.  In Dublin’s premier junior 2:10 to 1:05 win over Roscommon Emer Keenan and Michelle Kelly played their part.

Lucan’s Ladies Football team participated in COMÓRTAS PEILE PÁIDÍ Ó SÉ at the weekend. In the end, Clounmacon got the better of them in the final.

On the juvenile side it was a football weekend with strong wins for the U13AB, U14AB, U15B, and U16A. 

LastManStanding is up and running, so be sure to get your entry in by 5pm on Friday.

25 Card Drive is on Friday and the Cupla Focal Club continues on Monday. 

Date for your Diary: Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society 2017 AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Tuesday 7th March at 9.00pm. All are very welcome.

The Set Dancing also on Wednesday next at 8:30pm in the function room.

Bingo is also back on Wednesday evenings 8:30pm in the club bar.

Club Shop is back open. Times are Sat 10:30-12:30 Thr 7pm-8:30pm. A number of items are on sale at a reduced price including Pink Ladies Jackets, and Tee-Shirts, 

Lucan District Credit Union Academy. Saturday 9.30am for Camogie and Girls Football, 10am for Boys Football and Hurling, for boys and girls born in 20010, 2011 and 2012 – 12th Lock.

There was no winner of the €3,000 lotto and the numbers were 13, 18, 20 and 22. The sponsor was REA Auctioneers and next weeks €3,500 draw will be managed by Team Frank Flemming. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
