Dublin are the O’Byrne Cup Winners, helped by Lucan's Emmet O Conghaile and Sean Newcombe.
Saturday nights Volunteer Night was a night to remember. Donal Og Cusack lifted the night with a superb speech with anecdotes about Cork, Cloyne, and benefits of ‘paying it forward’ and not a mention of a dodgy sliotar.
Senior Hurling and Football benefitted from challenge games over the weekend with the footballers playing Naas and the hurlers playing Roanmore from Waterford.
"Donate A Dress” takes place on Friday 3rd February at 8 o clock up in the clubhouse. Donations can be dropped up any night of the week after 7.30 to the bar or they can be collected by Tracey Walsh (087-9735665) or Jackie Quinn (087-9385595). Tickets are also on sale for the night, they are €5 and include a glass of wine on presentation of your ticket. Spot prizes , raffle, nail bar available on the night. Tickets can be purchased at the bar or from the above contacts.”
LastManStanding: Fancy yourself to forecast weekly results in the Premier League? Then our LastManStanding competition is for you! Simply pick a different Premier League club team to win its game each week, see off all other contenders until you are the LastManStanding, then collect a cool €500. This is a fund-raiser for Senior Hurling, starting on Saturday, February 11th. Entry fee is a once-off payment of €10. Our Adult awards night is on Saturday next, the 4th of February. This is always a great night, and we are still deliberating on all the award recipients.
25 Card Drive returns to the club on Friday next 6/1 and the Cupla Focal Club returns on Monday the 9/1.
The Set Dancing also on Wednesday next at 8:30pm in the function room.
Bingo is also back on Wednesday evenings 8:30pm in the club bar.
Club Shop is back open. Times are Sat 10:30-12:30 Thr 7pm-8:30pm.
Lucan District Credit Union Academy. Saturday 9.30am for Camogie and Girls Football, 10am for Boys Football and Hurling, for boys and girls born in 20010, 2011 and 2012 – 12th Lock.
There was no winner of the €1,500 lotto where the numbers were 2, 6, 8 and 16. The sponsor was Henley Forklift Group and next weeks €2,000 draw will be managed by Team Seamus Clandillon. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
