Club Notes Tuesday 27th of December
December 27, 2016
The Christmas Draw took place on Thursday last. The full list of winners including Hugh Collander to whom Gerry McAndrew sold the €2,000 winning ticket, are available online or at the club.
St. Stephens Day was marked this year with two games. The ladies played a football game with Camogie Players taking on the Footballers, while the mens game (The Billy Malone Cup) featured the married players versus the single ones. After a penalty shootout we are still none the wiser as to who won!
Congrats to Emma Flanagan on her selection Dublin Senior Camogie Dubs Stars and to Aoife McKearney, who is Lucan's sole representative on Dublin Minor Camogie Team for 2017.
Hurling Dubs Stars include Chris Crummy, Kevin O’Reilly and John Bellew. While the Football Dubs Stars include CJ Smith, Darren Gavin, Sean Newcombe, and Brendan Gallagher.
Following goal mouth maintenance the Senior Pitch will remain closed for January (similar to last year). We hope this work pays dividends with extended use of the pitch throughout the playing season.
Leopardstown Leaps is back in January, more on that next week.
Dates for the diary.
The annual awards night will be on Saturday 4th of February.
The annual volunteers night is on Saturday 28th of January.
There was no winner of this weeks €18,000 lotto where the numbers were 1, 12, 16 and 22. This weeks sponsor was REA McDonald Auctioneers and next weeks €18,500 draw will be managed by Team Mary Flannery (Monday 2nd January). Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
