On the senior football side, after a very successful three year term the management led by Sean Mc Caffery advised the club that they would like to step down. The team successfully achieved promotion to division one in 2015 and finished the 2016 season in a strong position, the club respected the decision and is now in the process of filling the position.

There is a general members invite to a meeting to discuss the current challenges and future of adult hurling in the club. This is an opportunity for managers, coaches, players and hurling supporters in the club to listen and have their say. Date : Tuesday 29th November in the club.
Our Senior Hurling management will continue under the stewardship of Tom Ryan for 2017, we wish his management team every success for the coming season.
In the Camogie championship the Minor A’s lost to St Vincents 3:11 to 3:06 while the Minor C’s progressed to the shield semi with a win over Naomh Barrog.
On the juvenile side the U14B’s camogie were in a championship final against a very strong combination from Naomh Barrog & Naomh Mearnog. In the end, Lucan lost out 1:05 to 0:05.
Dublin GAA have announced the Camogie U16 Panel for 2017. Lucan players make up seven of the 51 strong panel. These are Aoife Byrne, Aoife Mahon, Chloe O’Connor, Hannah Brady, Laura Quinn, Siofra Byrne and Willow Byrne.
Senior One Camogie management, led by Liam Ryan, informed the club during a recent 2016 review, that they would not be continuing in that role for 2017. During the four years in the position they came close to winning a county championship for the Club and we acknowledge their passion, drive and commitment over that time, and we hope to see their continued involvement in the clubs camogie section.
On the Ladies Football side fixtures have dried up. After a number of years as the manager of the intermediate ladies football (finishing with silverware), Ken Murray has decided to take on a new challenge on the juvenile side.
