Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 7th of November 2016

The Club's Annual General Meeting is to be held on the 24th of November while Mass will be celebrated at the clubhouse on Thursday November 17th at 8pm for the repose of the souls of club members, relatives and friends who have passed away during the past year.

Junior footballers lost out on a promotion playoff to Skerries Harps by 9 points to 8, while Minor A football enjoyed a 5:11 to 1:07 championship win over Ballymun Kickhams.

On the Camogie side Minor B lost to Oliver Plunkets in their latest Championship fixture while Minor C lost to Cuala.

The Boland Cup is one of those subsidiary competitions that seems to get lost once the senior hurling league starts. This year Lucan Sarsfields and St Brigids qualified for the final some months back. It’s been seven years since a Boland Cup final has been played. This year both clubs have agreed to play the final on Tuesday evening next 8th November at 8:15pm, in Russell Park.

The 25 card drive is on Friday night 9pm.

The Cupla Focal club is back in action on Monday nights 8pm.

Set Dancing is back on Wednesday nights while the Bingo continues every Wednesday evening at 8:30pm with free tea/coffee.

Club Shop is newly stocked and back in action and is open on Thursday 7pm-9pm and on Saturday 10:30am-1:30pm. If you are hoping to have guaranteed delivery of items for Christmas then you better act fast.

Lucan District Credit Union Academy is on Saturday mornings 9:30am is the start for Girls and 10am for the Boys. New members (5+) always welcome.

€14,500 was the prize on offer for this weeks Lotto. This week, there was no winner where the numbers were 9, 16, 19 and 26. This weeks sponsor was Coláiste Laichtín and next weeks €15,000 draw will be managed by Team Edel Mooney. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.
