“Rock The Lock” is a three day music festival taking place at the 12th Lock over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Special Offer on €50 weekend passes or individual nights at €30 for Friday/Saturday and €40 for Saturday. See website for more details.

Senior Camogie lost their championship final to St Vincent's by three points. The game, in Abbotstown, was level at the half two points a piece. Vincents got the upper hand in the 2nd half going seven points clear, before Lucan started to claw it back.It finished Lucan 1-5 St Vincents 1-8. Senior 6 camogie have a semi final against Naomh Mearnog at home 16/10 at 11am.

Senior Football progressed from the last 16 in their championship with a 13 point win over Ballinteer St Johns. Tuesdays draw will decide the quarter final pairings with Lucan to be matched with one of St Judes, Kilmacud Crokes, Ballymun, Raheeny, Skerries, St Vincents, or Castleknock.

Senior Hurling are thru to the semi finals of their championship. The draw sees O'Tooles v Kilmacud Crokes  & Cuala v Lucan Sarsfields. Both games are to be played in Parnell Park on the 16th of October.

Ladies Football are in action next weekend in the final of their cup while the Juniors lost out to Ballyboughal by three points in their cup final on Sunday.

On the minor side the footballers overcame Naomh Olaf in their latest championship pool game while Minor Hurlers are out next weekend in their semi final.

“Tour de Sarsfields” saw 50 cyclists depart Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday morning for Newbridge Sarsfields. After enjoying some hospitality from the locals, it was back on the bikes for the trip back to Lucan where a BBQ awaited. Feedback has been hugely positive and thanks to all the marshals, motorcyclists and volunteers.

Golf Society Captain Liam Carton’s Day happened on Saturday. Captains prize Winner, Dave Cullen, Category 1 Winner Dave Whittle, Category 2 Winner Mick O’Hara, Category 3 Winner Michael Mescall, Golfer of the Year Mick Malone. Thanks to the Lucan Spa Hotel for hosting the Captains Dinner.

The Cupla Focal club is back in action on Monday nights 8pm.

Set Dancing is back on Wednesday nights while the Bingo continues every Wednesday evening at 8:30pm with free tea/coffee.

Club Shop is newly stocked and back in action and is open on Thursday 7pm-9pm and on Saturday 10:30am-1:30pm. If you are hoping to have guaranteed delivery of items for Christmas them orders should be in by the end of October.

25-Card Drive resumes on Friday October 14th. 

Lucan District Credit Union Academy is back in full flight on Saturday mornings 9:30am is the start for Girls and 10am for the Boys. New members (5+) always welcome.

€12,500 was the prize on offer for this weeks Lotto. This week, there was no winner where the numbers were 15, 17, 24 and 28. This weeks sponsor was REA Mcdonald Auctioneers and next weeks €13,000 draw will be managed by Team Hugh McGonigle.
