“Rock The Lock” is a three day music festival taking place at the 12th Lock over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Special Offer on €50 weekend passes or individual nights at €30 for Friday/Saturday and €40 for Saturday. See website for more details.

Senior Hurlers has an emphatic win over Setanta in the Championship and face St Judes in the quarter finals. That game is in O’Toole Pk 2/10 3:45pm.

Senior 1 Camogie drew their championship semi-final with Na Fianna and have to do it all over again next Sunday 11am with Home advantage this time. Senior 2 Camogie beat off Good Counsel   to book a place in the shield final.

Senior Footballers next championship outing is on Friday Oct 7th.

Ladies Football Cup Semi-Final against Croi-Ro-Naofa is scheduled for 6:15pm on Wednesday next away. On Saturday last, Lucan had three teams participating in the Liz Balfe Memorial tournament held in Confey GAA Club. The “Mama Mias” thought some other Junior teams a lesson or two, while the “Old Team Mates” (of Liz Balfe) performed well, but the stars of the show were Lucan’s Junior team who brought home the silverware. 

Congratulations to the U15 Footballers who won Division 1. The split the pot draw was won by Trevor Lawless, who promptly used the proceeds for Spice Bags for the boys!

Family Fun Day was held on Saturday last and despite the weather is was a superb day. Our thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a success.

“Tour de Sarsfields” is a special cycling event too be held on October 8th. It sees cyclists depart Lucan Sarsfields heading to Newbridge Sarsfields and back. Entry is €30, rollout is at 9am with registration from 8am.

Due to the All-Ireland Final replay the Golf Society Captain Liam Carton’s Day has been rescheduled to Saturday 8th October in Lisheen Springs GC.  To book Golf and/or Dinner please text Shane at 087 635669 no later than Sunday 2nd October.

The Cupla Focal club is back in action on Monday nights 8pm.

Set Dancing is back on Wednesday nights while the Bingo continues every Wednesday evening at 8:30pm with free tea/coffee.

Club Shop is newly stocked and back in action and is open on Thursday 7pm-9pm and on Saturday 10:30am-1:30pm. If you are hoping to have guaranteed delivery of items for Christmas them orders should be in by the end of October.

Lucan District Credit Union Academy is back in full flight on Saturday mornings 9:30am is the start for Girls and 10am for the Boys. New members (5+) always welcome.

€11,500 was the prize on offer for next weeks Lotto. This week, there was no winner where the numbers were 7, 16, 21 and 25. This weeks sponsor was Lucan Village Pharmacy and next weeks €12,000 draw will be managed by Team Frank Flemming.
