Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 15th August 2016

August 15, 2016

Senior Hurlers drew with St Brigids on Saturday evening last, which leaves them in a precarious position in the league ahead of Crumlin (who they face next 27/8 18:30, Pearse Park), St Brigids, and Ballinteer.

Senior Footballers are out on Saturday next 20/8 18:30 at home in the 12th Lock and with just three games left in the league they are in a great position to retain their division status.

Juvenile games are beginning to start back in earnest now. Next weekend Lucan host teams from Tipperary, Cork, Kildare and Kilkenny in our annual u12 Festival of hurling at the club with first ball thrown in at 11.30. The day starts at 10.00 with what should be a cracking contest where our u15A hurlers take on Ballyboden in the first round of the Championship.

Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society’s next outing will take place at Lucan Golf Club on Friday 19th August and is kindly sponsored by Automatic Fire & Integrated Solutions. To request a tee time (2.20pm to 3.40pm) please text Shane Carton at 087 6356691 as soon as possible.

Friends of Dublin Hurling will hold its 4th annual All Ireland Hurling Week Golf Classic in Powerscourt Golf Club on Wednesday, 31st August. Contact Michael at 087-2331983 to reserve a slot or for further information.

It appears Lucan Jerseys are not travelling very far! We want to see how many countries we can get a photograph of someone wearing a Lucan Sarsfields club jersey, ideally with a recognisable background. eMail lucansarsfieldspro@gmail.com and we will publish a gallery online. lets see how far afield we can go!
