Division One Camogie - Lucan through to Dublin Cup final

Senior camogie : Lucan 4-10 St Judes 1-4

Lucan senior camogie had a good win over St Judes on Tuesday 21^st June thereby qualifying for the Dublin Cup final.

 Lucan led by 0-6 to 0-2 at half time on foot of good points from Charlotte Rooney and Orla Sadlier and four frees from Ailbhe Ryan.

 The courageous Lucan defence battled well against a stiff breeze in the opening half and the Judes attack were well contained.

 Aided by the elements afterwards the hard-working Lucan attack scored almost at will.

 Annemarie Courtney, who led by example in mid-field, had a marvellous long range point, while the skilful Sadlier, Orlaith Murphy, Rooney and Ryan completed the night’s work with an avalanche of scores.

 A very honest overall team performance from the first whistle to the last.

 Relentless.

 Next match is this Monday 27^th June at 7.30pm against the Kildare senior champions in Johnstownbridge.

 Lucan will play the final of the Dublin Cup against Ballyboden on Tuesday 5^th July.
