Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 23rd May 2016
May 22, 2016
Reminder that Sunday next, 29th May is the 1916-2016 commemoration day. This will be a big community event combining Lucan Sarsfields, Lucan Gospel Choir, Lucan Harriers, Local Historians, Westside Stage School and many more. Action kicks off at 1pm. All our fantastic Feile teams will be on show as part of the festivities.
Senior footballers are next in league action 25/5 19:30 at home to St Judes. Great opportunity to give some support.
Senior Hurlers really missed their Dublin players on Sunday as they lost out to St Vincents 1:18 to 0:15. On Wednesday last they clocked up their first league points with a 1:17 to 0:14 win over Craobh Chiarain.
Interesting, while that game was on the senior pitch, on the opposite pitch the Junior Ladies were playing Clan NaGael. You could call it a mix of youth and experience, but that Lucan side had an age difference, youngest to oldest of 35-years, and all played fantastically as a team! That has to be the heart of any club.
Senior Camogie had a win over St. Judes on Tuesday night, as the minors did over Castleknock. On Tuesday night next 7:30pm the Senior 1 Camogie are away to Na Fianna, Senior 2 are away to Good Counsel, while the Senior 6 team are at home to St Marks.
Some of the weeks Juvenile success was football wins for 14A, 15B, U15 Ladies Football, U16A, U15 A&B Camogie.
The U14A Ladies Football marked another milestone becoming Division 1 Dublin Champions to add to their Feile success. Indeed, their new jersey sponsors, Base Pizza, must be delighted with the success of the team and the publicity its bringing to their new Lucan outlet.
Bingo continues its popularity, its running every Wednesday in the club bar 8:30pm. Set Dancing is on Wednesday at 8:30pm in the Function Room.
Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society Grange Castle Outing Results. Overall Winner Michael Malone (21) 43pts, 2nd Overall Damian O'Brien (9) 38pts, Category 1 Winner Seamus Fagan (13) 34pts, Category 2 Winner John Clancy (22) 37pts, Category 3 Winner Gabriel Larkin (24) 34pts.

Premium Draw is proving very popular, games aside, last Thursday was the draw for the first of the Springsteen tickets with Ger Cooper getting the gig. Beyonce up soon. â¬20 gets you in for the year.
