Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 21st March 2016

March 20, 2016

St Patricks Day festivities and the previous nights Oiche Gaelach were really well supported, both were a huge success, and a big thank you to all the organisers.

Senior Hurlers continue on their Leinster League journey on Tuesday night away in Borris-in-Ossory against Kilcotton. They will need a big lift in their performance following heavy defeat to Na Fianna in Dublin Division 1 league at the weekend. The Junior Hurlers did overcome Naomh Barrog in a very tight match.

Senior Footballers next league outing is on Saturday 2nd April at 6pm at home to Na Fianna (insert your own hurling comparison here!). Minor A footballers got the better of Ballinteer to make it 2/2.

Senior Camogie will play St Martins of Kilkenny at home, 8pm Tuesday evening in their Leinster League - another opportunity for you to show your support.

Minor Ladies Football chalk up 3/3 albeit two thru opposition concession.

On the juvenile side footballing success for U13B, U14A&B, U15A&B, and 16B. 14B Ladies Football and Camogie were also successful.

Easter Camps (7-11yrs) running from March 29th-31st, and School of Excellence (12-14yrs) from 21st-24th March are announced and entry is available on the website or via any team mentor.

Next date for your social diary is Saturday 9th of April when the club hosts a Mock Hen Party.

Bingo is on this Wednesday (23/3) and Set Dancing also on Wednesday at 8:30pm.

The Cúpla Focal Club continues on Monday night. Eight O’Clock for the novices, nine for the more experienced speakers.

Next Friday is Good Friday so the card players will have to take a break.

There was no winner of this week’s €3,000 Lotto draw, numbers were 6, 9, 15 and 23. Lotto sponsor was John Ryan, Accountant. Next week’s jackpot is €3,500, and the draw will be managed by team Mary Flannery and because of the bank holiday weekend it will be on Monday night (28/3).
