Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 14th August.   13/08/2017

The last week’s push to get the car draw tickets sold and to fill the 12th Lock for Aslan.

Tickets are available for the Car Draw (at the club) and for Aslan ( and our thanks to the many volunteers who continue to take to the streets of Lucan selling car draw tickets.

Last week there was no winner of the €8,600 lotto and the numbers were 12, 13, 14 and 23. This weeks €9,000 draw will be managed by Team Diarmuid Dawson and is sponsored by Coláiste Laichtín, Inis Oírr. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.

Club games are starting back in the next few weeks with some important fixtures. 26/8 is the Junior Football Championship final, 4pm in Parnell Park, while on the same evening Senior Football have Cuala at home. 19/8 Junior Hurling are at home 18:30 in a championship playoff with St Finians.

Congratulations to Dublin Premier Junior Camogie on getting thru to an All Ireland Final. The team includes Lucan's Emma O’Flynn and is captained by Emer Keenan. 

Hard luck to Dublin’s U16 camogie, a 3 point loss to Wexford at the semi final stage. All credit to Lucan's Laura Quinn with 1:02 and Aoife Mahon with 0:03. 

Hard luck also to Dublin’s Minor Hurlers loosing their semi final, all credit to the Lucan contributions from Luke Walsh, Emmet Allen and Ben Coffey.

Lucan Sarsfields Golf Society next outing will take place at Grange Castle Golf Club on Friday 18th August from 2.00pm to 3.10pm. To request a tee time please text John Clancy at 086 0412953 as soon as possible but no later than 6pm on Sunday 13th August. New members are always very welcome.  

The club bar will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights until the end of August. Other days remain un affected. If anyone requires the bar or function room for any event just contact bar staff on Thursday night.

After a break last week Bingo resumes this week.

Club Shop is closed for its summer break. Items can still be purchased online or in O’Neil shop on the Long Mile Road.

Lucan District Credit Union Academy are also on their summer break.
