Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 31st July   30/07/2017

The 26th of August is turning out to be a busy day for the club. Junior Footballers are in a championship final in Parnell Park at 4pm against St Brigids, while Senior Footballers have a critical league game against St Maurs, Inter football are due to be away to St Monicas while Aslan play at RockTheLock and we have a car to give away. Logistics support required!

Tickets are available for the Car Draw (at the club) and for Aslan ( at the club and our thanks to the many volunteers who have taken to the streets of Lucan selling car draw tickets.

Last week there was no winner of the €7,800 lotto and the numbers were 7, 21, 22 and 27. This weeks €8,200 draw will be managed by Team Mary Flannery and is sponsored by Feral McCarthy Painter & Decorator. Tickets can be purchased online, at the club, in Carey’s Newsagents or in Vesey Arms or Kenny’s Bar.

Senior Footballers lost to Ballyboden on Saturday evening leaving them on 9 points in division one, level with Na Fianna and above Cuala and Clontarf. Its a few points shy from being safe from a relegation playoff yet.

Following a win over Naomh Barrog, Ladies Football are thru to their championship final. This game is scheduled for 30th August against either Castleknock or Cuala. 

Senior Hurlers are off duty until August 19th when they are away to Ballinteer St Johns.

Dublin U16 Camogie topped their All Ireland series group with a win over Kilkenny, Lucan was well represented on the A & B teams while Aoife Mahon and Laura Quinn both had a strong influence on the scoreboard.

The club bar will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights until the end of August. Other days remain un affected. If anyone requires the bar or function room for any event just contact bar staff on Thursday night.

Bingo continues on Wednesday 8:00pm in the club bar.

Club Shop is closed for its summer break. Items can still be purchased online or in O’Neil shop on the Long Mile Road.

Lucan District Credit Union Academy are also on their summer break.
